League of Legends declared as the most played game

Recently DFC Intelligence has come out with a list which has been prepared by using the data from more than 21 million Xfire members. What came out of the research is that over the year the most played PC game title in North America and Europe is the League of Legends. In total more than .3 billion hours of game play is logged . Following League of Legends is the World of Warcraft has more than 600 million hours of gameplay.

In the report the recent popularity of the Blizzard game title Diablo 3 has been mentioned. Diablo 3 has not been released until mid-May but within this short time, the usage has increased up to 172 million hours for this game title as declared by the CEO of DFC Intelligence, David Cole.

The Xfire application helps in examining the real-time data of the users as they play any of the 2000 games supported by Xfire.
