As per the announcement made by Riot, League of Legends has got some of its European and Nordic database servers hacked. As per the reports the attackers could hack a particular security issue. They will be able to get the login information of the users such as the encrypted password, email address, date of birth, a small number of the security questions and answers, and the summoner’s name.

This is the latest violation in the cloud solutions where the account information of the users could be hacked so easily. Though this problem got fixed very fast but the very first question which bothers people is that this type of problem should be prevented in the first place.

As per the announcements made these issues are still getting investigated under the guidance of experts and they are looking into the causes, culprits and the probable preventive measures so that such problems could not come back. The relevant authorities should place enough security measures so that the attackers could not hack information so easily.

If the attackers could have got hold of the billing databases, it could have created havoc and damages could have been irreparable. Riots must take full responsibility for the incident and ensure that such things should never crop up in future.
